Chinese 'chicken' salad

This has been a family favorite for years. It's a little labor intensive so it's best for occasions. However, the result is delicious and worth the effort.

Salad:
5 chicken breasts or 2 bags of fake chicken
1 package of wonton wrappers cut into strips and fried
1 head of lettuce, washed and chopped or torn into bite size pieces
4 green onions chopped
3 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds
1/4 cups slivered almonds

Dressing:
Over low heat, combine
3 tablespoons red wine vinegar
3 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon ajinomoto
1/4 cup salad oil
1 tablespoon sesame seed oil

Note: ajinomoto is MSG and can be left out
